Welcome to C&W Berry, the trusted household name and outstanding source for construction materials and tools in the North West of England.

Supplying a broad range of quality building materials, the company was initially founded in 1954 by brothers Colin and Walter Berry as a joinery manufacturer at King Street in Leyland. Still family owned, C&W Berry takes great pride in the fact that a number of staff have been with us their entire working career.

After purchasing new premises on Golden Hill Lane in 1961, C&W Berry began to specialise in importing and machining bulk timber, selling mainly to the building trade. This was soon expanded to a wide range of construction materials, available to both trade and DIY customers.

The 60’s and 70’s saw the site greatly expand, and the company soon became recognised as the region’s leading supplier of building materials. Today, the Main Sales Site covers over 40-acres and stocks thousands of products, allowing C&W Berry to offer practically anything required in any construction, building or DIY project.

The company’s commitment to stock and the quality of its customer service is what makes it a truly unique merchant. Of the 240+ staff, many have a trade background, ensuring the advice offered is to the highest standard. Employees regularly undergo product training, ensuring they are up to date with the latest products and innovations within the industry.

Situated close to the M6 / M61 / M65 motorway interchange, C&W Berry’s Main Sales Site is easily accessible to customers from all over the North West. In turn, the delivery fleet of 35+ vehicles can efficiently distribute large and small orders to building sites or home addresses.

C&W Berry have established an extremely strong buying position in the sector, meaning the company can purchase in large quantities in order to pass big savings onto our customers. These relationships include industry-leading brands such as Bosch, Makita, VELUX, Polypipe, LPD, Ibstock, Richard Burbidge and Wienerberger.

The company has also created several display areas including a comprehensive door and window department, extensive landscaping and hardscaping areas, timber fence panels, working garage door sections, bespoke wardrobe doors, fitted kitchen units and bathroom suites, kitchen worktops and laminate flooring products.

On the 1^st April 2023, a brand-new bathroom showroom was opened that features over 30 different displays in a 3,350 square foot building following a 14 month build project.

Berry Bathrooms ensures customers can browse a diverse selection of premium products and brands in-store and design their next bathroom in a virtual 4D environment complete with manufacturer endorsed products.

Despite only recently opening, Berry Bathrooms has already won a host of industry accolades. These include Bathroom Showroom of the Year from the Builders’ Merchants Journal Awards and Builders’ Merchants News Awards, as well as winning the coveted and highly esteemed New Bathroom Retailer of the Year award from the prestigious kbbreview Retail & Design Awards.
